High School & Junior Golf Lessons in Des Moines

High schoolers chasing a spot on varsity and 8-year-olds picking up a club for the first time need pretty different things from a lesson. I teach both — just not the same way.

High School Golfers

If you're trying to make the team, move up the lineup, or just stop leaving strokes on the course in tournaments, we'll get specific. I'll look at your swing on video, figure out what's actually costing you shots, and build a plan around it — not a generic "fix your swing" plan, your plan.
  • Ball striking — consistent contact, club path, face control
  • Short game — wedge distance control, putting, bunker and specialty shots
  • Course management — pre-shot routine, smart decisions, handling tournament pressure
This isn't about running through drills for an hour. It's about figuring out the two or three things that'll actually lower your scores, and getting good at those.

Young Golfers

  • The basics — grip, stance, and making solid contact, taught in a way that clicks for kids
  • Short game — putting and chipping, usually the fastest way for a kid to feel good at golf early
  • Being on a golf course — etiquette, safety, and pace of play, so they're comfortable playing with others (not just hitting balls at a range)

Every kid learns differently, and I'd rather adjust to your kid than force them through a one-size-fits-all program.
